Embark on a unique self-drive combo tour that combines the thrill of diving in the world-famous Silfra fissure with an exciting whale watching adventure in Faxaflói Bay. Start your day by driving approximately 45 km from Reykjavík to Þingvellir National Park, where you will dive into the crystal-clear glacial waters of Silfra. Known for its remarkable underwater visibility of over 100 meters, Silfra offers the rare opportunity to swim between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The diving experience, which lasts about 3 hours, includes a guided tour through Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon. Participants must be certified dry suit divers or provide proof of recent dry suit diving experience, and must meet specific physical and health requirements.

After your unforgettable underwater experience, return to Reykjavík's Old Harbour to join a whale watching tour with Elding, starting at 15:00. Onboard, you’ll have the chance to see an array of marine life such as Minke whales, dolphins, porpoises, and even Humpback whales as you explore the rich ecosystem of Faxaflói Bay. The cruise lasts until approximately 18:00, after which a convenient shuttle will take you back to your hotel. To ensure comfort and safety, divers are required to bring their own thermal underwear, thick wool socks, and dress appropriately for the weather. This full-day adventure offers an exceptional blend of Iceland’s underwater wonders and its magnificent marine life—all in one unforgettable journey.
