4-Days Tour to Cotahuasi Canyon in Arequipa

Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Arequipa, including a stop at the Toro Muerto petroglyphs—one of the largest rock art sites in the Americas. Enjoy lunch in the charming town of Chuquibamba before continuing your scenic drive through high-altitude viewpoints and snowcapped peaks. You’ll arrive in Cotahuasi by mid-afternoon for dinner and your first overnight stay

On the second day, explore the remote depths of the canyon. After breakfast, head by private transport to the small town of Mayo, the starting point of a beautiful 8-kilometer trek to Quechualla. Along the trail, cross ancient bridges and visit the archaeological site of Huaña, known for its pre-Inca hanging tombs and terraced landscapes.
