All Inclusive Private Day Trip to Shipton's Arch from Kashgar

This full-day private tour offers a unique chance to explore the dramatic landscapes surrounding Shipton’s Arch, one of the tallest natural arches in the world. At 9:30am, your guide will meet you in your Kashgar hotel lobby for a 2-hour scenic drive to the arch, located near Artush Village.

Known as Tianmen or "Heavenly Gate" in Chinese, the arch was first brought to global attention by British explorer Eric Shipton in 1947, although it remained largely unknown internationally until a National Geographic expedition rediscovered it in 2000. Towering at an estimated 1,200 feet, the arch spans a wild and remote valley, offering incredible photo opportunities.

Once there, enjoy a guided hike through the valley—about 30 kilometers long—where you’ll take in the rugged scenery and find the best angles for capturing the arch in all its glory. A picnic lunch will be provided in the valley, surrounded by serene nature and sweeping mountain views.

After the hike, relax as you’re transferred back to your hotel in Kashgar, concluding a day of discovery and adventure.
