Koman Lake, created in the late 1970s by a dam built for hydroelectric energy, is a stunning natural site in northern Albania where the Drini i Zi and Drini i Bardhe rivers meet. The lake is home to diverse wildlife and offers breathtaking scenery, making it perfect for adventure and relaxation. This four-day tour combines hiking and kayaking through the Albanian Alps and Accursed Mountains, starting with a ferry ride across the lake to the remote village of Berisha, where guests stay with a local family and explore by kayak.
The journey continues with a drive to Valbona for hiking in the valley, followed by a challenging trek along an ancient path from Valbona to Theth, passing centuries-old stone towers and peaceful forests. Theth impresses with its unique history and natural beauty, including the famous “Lock-in Tower.” On the final day, visitors walk to the Gurnas Waterfall before driving to Shkoder, the largest city in northern Albania, for some free time, then return to Tirana in the evening.
