“The Idyllic One” on the Lohne from Lembruch to Diepholz is a peaceful and scenic paddling experience, perfectly suited for school groups, individual paddlers, as well as company or club outings. The tour begins on a wide and gentle stretch of river, making it ideal for warming up and settling into a relaxed rhythm on the water. After approximately two kilometers, trees begin to line the riverbanks, gradually becoming denser and creating a jungle-like atmosphere as the route progresses. This transition in scenery offers a calming and immersive nature experience throughout the journey.
About halfway along the route, paddlers can enjoy a charming rest area equipped with restrooms, providing a comfortable break during the tour. A grill and charcoal are available at this idyllic spot, and catering can be arranged upon request for groups. As the paddle continues, the river leads through the town of Diepholz, passing attractive houses and well-kept gardens that add a pleasant urban contrast to the natural surroundings. The finish point is located in the town center, just a short distance from an ice cream parlor. For those wishing to extend the adventure, it is possible to portage after a break and reach the Hunte River after around 500 meters, where paddling can continue.
