Kalamata boasts stunning Mediterranean landscapes, pristine beaches, and a coastline blending seamlessly with the slopes of Taygetos, a mountain that meets the sea. The bay and surrounding coast offer breathtaking scenery, best explored from the seat of a sea kayak.
This trip is perfect for all, especially families and kids. We paddle at a relaxed pace, taking breaks to soak in the views and enjoy the experience. Before setting off, your guide will introduce you to the kayaks and equipment, teaching a simple paddling technique for a smooth ride. As we glide along Kalamata’s eastern coastline, we’ll see the city from afar, passing scenic harbors, dramatic cliffs, and hidden coves with sandy beaches. We may even spot the famous Caretta Caretta sea turtle.
In the clearest waters, we’ll pause for swimming, snorkeling, and shell hunting. Halfway, we’ll take a break to savor a picnic of freshly baked bread, organic fruits and vegetables, homemade olive oil, and cheese. After lunch, we paddle back, ending an unforgettable journey through one of Greece’s most beautiful coastal regions.
