For safety reasons, wearing mountain clothing is necessary for this activity, and if you don't have the appropriate gear, there will be an option to rent it. The adventure begins with a scenic drive along National Route 3 for about 17 kilometers, leading us to the starting point at the trail’s parking lot. From here, the hike takes us quickly into the forest, where we will pass by a beaver dam and cross a valley. As we progress, we’ll encounter a peat bog and follow the Esmeralda River all the way to its source at the Esmeralda Lagoon, a stunning destination that presents different faces throughout the year frozen in winter and vibrant in summer.

If the weather is favorable, we’ll enjoy lunch by the lagoon, offering breathtaking views of the Albino Glacier, the lagoon itself, and the surrounding landscape. After taking in the scenery and relaxing, we’ll retrace our steps along the same trail, heading back to the transfer that will take you back to your hotel. This trek offers a combination of natural beauty, physical challenge, and a rewarding experience, making it perfect for nature lovers looking to explore the unique environment of the region.
