We will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the starting point of the trail, where the adventure begins. After about two hours of trekking, we will reach the beautiful Esmeralda Lagoon, a perfect spot to catch your breath and admire the surrounding landscape. From there, we will continue along the right bank, beginning our ascent toward the Ojo del Albino glacier. The path requires concentration, as we navigate through high mountain terrain that will test your endurance and focus.
After an hour of climbing, we will reach a scenic stop at the 7 km mark, where you can enjoy a well-deserved lunch in the mountains and take a brief rest. Refreshed, we will continue our trek towards the Balcones del Ojo del Albino, a viewpoint that offers an incredible panorama of the Esmeralda Lagoon and the expansive high valley below. The stunning vistas are the perfect reward for the effort so far, providing a chance to soak in the natural beauty of the region before we press on.
The final stretch takes us over 10 km of rugged terrain, reaching an elevation of 1200 meters. Here, we will face a challenging climb up a steep wall to reach the imposing Ojo del Albino Glacier. If the physical condition of the group and the weather conditions are favorable, we will ascend onto the glacier and walk on its pristine ice, making this an unforgettable high-mountain experience. This trek offers not only physical challenge but also breathtaking views, leaving you with lasting memories of the stunning landscapes of the region.
