Get ready to kickstart an unforgettable jungle adventure in Bali! The journey begins early in the morning at around 7 am, as you leave your cozy hotel and set off towards the breathtaking mountain region of Batukaru. The drive offers stunning views of tropical landscapes, with plenty of opportunities to pause for a quick stretch or capture scenic moments. Your first stop is the charming village of Wongaya, nestled on the slopes of Mount Batukaru, where you’ll take a leisurely stroll through lush rice fields and the vibrant countryside. As you move on, the real challenge awaits at the nature fitness centre, where you’ll be introduced to Bali’s historic Subak water system, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before making your way to the Balikaru activity center to begin your trek into the wild jungle. From there, the trail takes you deep into the heart of Bali's dense vegetation and hills, guided by an expert ranger, leaving behind the beaten path for an exciting off-track adventure.
As you venture further, breathtaking views of Mount Batukaru’s surrounding volcanoes emerge, and you’ll pause to take in the stunning scenery from a farmer’s shelter. The trek continues through challenging terrain, with slippery slopes and steep climbs, but your experienced guide ensures your safety and offers well-deserved breaks along the way. Resting at an old bale (pavilion), you’ll enjoy a selection of Balinese snacks and fresh fruits before continuing the journey to hidden, serene spots like Panjora magical place with crystal-clear spring water cascading over rocks, surrounded by lush jungle. This sacred site, home to a Beji temple, is an incredible experience, where you’ll make offerings and pay respects to the spirits of the land before taking a refreshing dip in the cool waters. After immersing yourself in this peaceful retreat, the trek continues, leading you to a challenging downhill path that requires careful footing, before finally reaching the river and chilly spring at Belulang village.
The final stretch of the adventure presents an uphill climb, but thanks to natural stairs along the way, it’s a rewarding challenge. After reaching the top, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at Warung Balikaru, soaking in the peaceful ambiance of the village. Post-lunch, a relaxed walk through the picturesque village allows you to interact with the locals, before heading back to your driver at Belulang Hot Spring for the return journey. On the way back, you’ll stop at the stunning Pengempu Waterfall for a final highlight of the tour, perfect for capturing beautiful photos.
