King Arthur's Wye Valley Walk is a rewarding 13km hike with around 300m of ascent, taking you through a landscape steeped in legend and natural beauty. The trail includes a mix of rough, muddy and uneven ground, though much of the route follows good paths and tracks. It’s suitable for most walkers, though expect to feel satisfyingly tired by the end of the day. This walk offers the chance to explore a quieter side of the Wye Valley while still taking in its most iconic sights.
Created by Wales Outdoors, this route brings together fascinating historical landmarks and stunning natural features. Along the way, you’ll visit King Arthur’s Cave, take in the views from Symonds Yat, cross the quirky Biblin’s Wibbly Wobbly Bridge, and climb to an Iron Age hill fort believed to be the final camp of the legendary King Vortigern. With over thirty years of experience guiding in the area, we’ll also share with you the rich industrial heritage and natural wonders of this beautiful corner of Wales.
