Join a local, fully qualified mountain guide for an unforgettable small group hiking tour through the breathtaking waterfalls area of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This 15km circular route gains 400m of elevation and takes you to all six of the park’s main waterfalls, along with smaller cascades and lush forested valleys. Starting in the charming village of Pontneddfechan, where you can enjoy breakfast in a lovely bistro café, the hike leads over rugged, muddy, and often remote terrain, offering stunning views, a chance to walk behind waterfalls, and even a refreshing dip in the final pool for those brave enough. Though this area is popular, your guide will lead you along quieter paths rarely walked by others, especially midweek, creating a tranquil and immersive nature experience. With over thirty years of experience, your guide will share rich stories of the region’s natural beauty and industrial heritage while ensuring your safety and enjoyment throughout. While a café may be open halfway along the route from May to September, hikers are advised to bring a packed lunch and something warm to drink, as weather often causes it to close.
