Travel on your own to the serene mountain village of Belulang, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the Balikaru team with a refreshing drink. Your day begins with the soothing sounds of traditional Balinese music as you learn to play the rindik, a bamboo instrument unique to Bali. Dressed in traditional temple attire, you’ll be guided down a peaceful mountain path to a sacred site at the confluence of two rivers (Tjampuhan). Here, a Balinese priest (Mangku) will lead you through a deeply spiritual purification and blessing ceremony. Beforehand, you’ll prepare your own offerings using flowers and incense, learning their symbolic meanings and significance with the help of your knowledgeable guide.

As the priest chants and rings sacred bells, you’ll be immersed in the spiritual essence of Balinese Hindu Dharma. This ritual refreshes the body and mind, offering a unique connection to Bali’s cultural and spiritual heritage. After the ceremony, return to Balikaru to change and reflect on the experience. Then, enjoy a homemade lunch at Warung Balikaru, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of the village. The experience not only connects you with local traditions but also supports the preservation of Belulang’s natural and cultural authenticity.
